I want to save an InDesign CS2 document to be read and modified by someone who has only CS1. I can't figure out a way to do this. Is it even possible to save a version of a document that can be readable by on older version of the program? There certainly isn't any option available with the "save as" command....

Thanx...

It's either on file menu/save as or Export. Select Indesign Interchange. On my CS version, it's under export.

This should give you an INDX file that will open in CS, but no earlier versions. The user of CS MUST have the latest update of version 3 - 3.01 dated 4/20/05, not the ealrier 3.01 That includes the indx compatability.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
