Hi

one question about goal seek - some cases using simple goal seek command,it fails to find an answer / solution.
Does someone has any idea how to overcome from that issue?

Currently I just rounded expected result to nearest multiplier 10. So it works better than previously but of course it isn't best or correct solution.

Also I changed excel options - checked Enable iterative calculation and changed field maximum change to 0,0000000000001

This is first time when goal seek will not be able to find result but I saw that difference is quite small and as command expects to have totally equal number than this is the root problem. For me it would be good if there is small difference (can be up to 0,1), but Goal seek looks to me doesn't approve such error :)

Maybe someone else have had such problem and found solution which is working fine.

GoalSeek is not very precise, you could add helper cell in worksheet with formula (pseudocode) [tt]=1000*(TargetValue-CalculatedCell)[/tt] and use in VBA: [tt]HelperCell.GoalSeek(Goal:=0, ChangingCell:=YourChangingCell)[/tt].
