Hello all -

I know there is a simple javascript function to go back a page, but what about going back with previously selected information.

I have a form with a few drop downs, calendar, etc and when a user hits submit it takes them to a results page, I would like to add a link or button on the page to have the user click it to go back to the previous form but have what they selected originally to still be there.

Any help?

Kudos!!!

Hi

I not really understand. However I think I would do it like here on Tek-Tips when we edit a post, then preview it and if we want to edit more, there is an "Edit Post *" button to use instead of navigating back. This way you have better control over the [tt]form[/tt] data.

Feherke.

The website allows users to generate a report so they select a date range and locations to get certain data from a database. When the report shows up I would like a link that will that the user back to the criteria page and have the locations and the date that was selected originally to still be there.

Hi

Got it. So I would stay with my previous suggestion : instead of going back, I would generate the criteria page repopulating the [tt]form[/tt] with the previously submitted values.

Feherke.
