Hi,

This may be off topic but something happened to my gnome desktop and my icons have disappeared. I have my taskbar and if I click on file manager from my start menu my desktop icons come back. Is there a way to get default desktop back. I think that i read somewhere there is a gnome file to delete and you will get the default desktop on new login. What is the file name? Running rh/7.

thanks

Hello,

I had this problem a while back but I can't remember how I fixed it. Check /usr/bin/gnome-session and look for a file named .xsession Make a backup copy of it (.bak) then delete the .xsession file. I think when you reboot and login again it creates a new default panel.

Good Luck..
