Gnome and HP-UX 11.00 pipe/sam trouble.

Hi, I have recently installed Gnome desktop manager as a test bed for other systems using HP-UX 11.00. However, now the pipe | symbol does not work. I have checked the keyboard language settings and they are correct. I know this may be a problem with the new release of Gnome on HP-UX, but does anyone know of a work around.

Also, when running SAM in GUI I find I cannot enter any information into the text boxes. Again, does anyone know of any work around here?
