Gnome 2.2.2

I want to download Gnome and install it onto an old machine of mine, on the site:

http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/GNOME/desktop/2.2/2.2.2/sources/

it does not have any ISO files, how would I go about installing this onto my old machine? do I need a compiler ?
