Hi,

I have created an import (Bridge) that updates a GM 6.5 SQL database and updates information in the Contact Key3 field.
At the same time, I update the date and time stamps.

Here is the problem:
When remote users connect and Sync, these records are not being brought over to the remote user db.

Note: I did not setup the sync so I am confused how this was configured. (Too many chefs in the kitchen, but we do what we must/can do)

What is the GoldMine Sync looking for to indicate that data has changed and needs to be updated on the remote laptop?

Does GOldMine bring the entire Contact Record or just the changed data?
Does GoldMine store these data/field changes in a separate table that I missed?

Thanks,

Yes. GMTLOG and CONTTLOG are the synchronization logs and they track updates, additions, changes, deletions, etc. on a field-level basis. These files are compared to determine which records/changes make it to the remotes and vice-versa. If you're developign an add-on for GoldMine or are simply updating records directly, you must take this into account. For GoldMine SQL, there are a set of stored procedures that you can call as part of your key3 (I hope you're updating contact1.U_key3 as well!) update to have it also mark the sync logs so your changes sync...
