Glue connectors together?

Is there a way to glue two connectors together without using the connector tool? For instance, I'd like to glue the midpoints on the edges of two rectangles together when they are positioned over each other.

Wall segments seem to glue to each other so I'm guessing there is a way to do this. I've checked ALL of the snap and glue options and made sure snap and glue is turned on for the layer I am working in.

Thanks,

David

I see that Glue is for holding connectors on to shapes, not for keeping shapes in the same position relative to each other.

Instead I would like to ask, is grouping the best method for keeping shapes in the same position relative to each other?

Visio has two types of shapes, 1-d and 2-d shapes. Most of the time gluing involves attaching two 2-d shapes with a 1-d shape in between. This is actually two gluing operations, one at either end of the 1-d shape.

Visio does have inward and outward glue so that two 2-d shapes can be glued together.

has more information.
