We run Citrix on Windows 2003 Terminal Servers.
We are trying to globally force this for all users.
When one clicks on a MailTo URL in IE we want Lotus Notes to be the Default Browser.

We read that to Do So you need to Go to
Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults.

In there you can select Lotus and it is applied globally.

The problem is that we are not seeing Set Program Access and Defaults on our 2003 Servers. It is on my XP Laptop.

Any help to get there would be helpful.

I believe you can set that through a GPO, although I'm not near a server to test right now.

These is a GPO object. We do not have it configured.

I checked the MSDN site and it specifically states taht SPAD is not part of 2003 Server.

Me thinks you'd have to find out what registry key is keeping that information, and then GPO a vbs script to touch that key. YMMV.

Well I took a snaphot of the Registry.
Reinstalled the Notes Client.
During installation I was prompted to set Notes as the Default.
I then took a snapsot afterwards.

I tested the message and it worked fine.

I looked at the registry changes and then applied them to on of the other 3 servers.
Tested it after restart.... Nothing....

Is there a notes app that sets the defaults?
