I posted this in the Exchange forum but it really is an NT 4.0 issue. We had problems with our Exhcange server and needed to reinstall all of the software. From backup, restored all of our mailboxes. Permissions have been lost to mailboxes, pst folders and pabs. They have been reset to Domain Users (full). How can I globally change them to the user name? Eash folder is the same name as the username I want to have full permissions to.

As far as I know it will be a manual process to implement the NTFS permissions.

(Sometimes people make a big mistake when restoring files. If you perform the restore of an NTFS volume while the system is OFF the network, you may lose your NTFS permissions on the NTFS files and folders. This is because the restore process needs to be able to access the domain accounts to place the proper permissions on the restored files and folders.)

You may be able to use the tool CACLS

Hope this helps....
