Globally change Infoview settings.

Hi All,

I am trying to change how reports are displayed in the infoview. Instead of displaying them within the infoview portal(object area), I want to launch them on a separate browser whenever a report is selected to be viewed.

When I login into infoview and click on the "Personalize InfoView now" link, I can goto - View my documents and then select the second option. This will change my settings but how do I do this across the board for all users globally.

When I login into the CMC and click on "BO Enterprise Applications" and then "Infoview" there is no similar option to make the change.

Just wanted to let eveyone know that there is a very quick workaround for this. I spoke with BO and they sent me a script.

First login as admin in CE then change the info view as needed. Then run this script on the server which copies the admin infoview to all the other existing users' infoview. Thereby making the change globally.

The only downside of this script is that it needs to run everytime a new user is added to the system.

If anyone is interested in the script please let me know and I can post it on this thread.

Is there a similar SCRIPT for seting global preferences for users....?

I really miss the "preference manager" from CE-10 Admin.

This can be also done via 3rd party tools - APOS Object Manager - but is fairly expensive. This has alot more functionality - where you can set preferences for groups etc..
