global issues when ess ipsi looses data connection

i have just brought up our first ess. We are now haveing mpls issues at the ess site in atlanta. when that ipsi looses connection i have gateways that regester to the central server in my silver spirng location go unregesterd. even softohone users loose connection. i am at a loss due to the fact that in the mpls cloud only voice connections are being lost. i even have a dcs trunk to my brookfield site that goes down when this happens. I am running 3.1.2 with a pair of s8700's at my main site in silver spring with 2 ipsi's. and i have a s8500 in my atlanta location with one ipsi. Any help would be welcome right now.
