Hi, all. Any ideas or suggestions welcome!

I have a machine (XP Media Center), running Netscape 8.04 and IE6. This is a common configuration in our environment. The webpage in quesiton is also commonly visitied by several other employees with no issues, and the machine in question doesn't seem to have an issue with any other webpages. The problem is...

Netscape: When rendering as IE, it shows HTML formatting code and when rendering as Mozilla, it shows the code and adds strikeout lines.

IE: Shows HTML code.

This started suddenly and the user (of course) doesn't remember changing anything. Is there some global setting that might affect both browsers???? As I said, no other users, with the same setup are having any problems with the site, so it's definitely a client issue.

Thanks for any suggestions!

After clearing cache on machines that seemed to have no problem, they now see the HTML code that shouldn't be showing, so it looks to be a problem with the website, rather than the client.

I'm still open to any ideas or tests to help pin-point the problem.

Thanks

Can you provide a link or list the page's code?

Hi, mkrausnick. Thanks for your reply. I found that it is the website. It chokes on the use of symbols, such as "&" in the search criteria. What was confusing was that with the ampersand in there, it performs the search ok, but then breaks down a couple of pages later. I assume they are building an SQL query from one page to the next and the final query isn't being built right. Anyway, it was the website and we know what not to do now, so all is well :)

Thanks again!
