Global Catalogue

We put our new w2003 server into use and took off the w2k server. We also have a w2k server in our other office, connected by VPN. Based on the messages on the server, it appears that the new server has not created a global catalogue, and is now using the one in the other office, slowing down things on the network that involve the server. As soon as we resolve this, we want to replace the old server in the other office with the new server there, that is ready to use. Any ideas?
