I already tried creating a new SMTP contact, but when I mail to it I get
>> The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.<<
So it seems like it sends it internal and tries to resolve it that way.
try this...when you create a new contact...insert first/lastname info....click next...take off the check box "Create an exchange mailbox"....next, then finish..
then right click on the contact....select "exchange task"
now input the internet email address...give it a try
I ran into the same problem..this fixed it for me!
