I have a new GL145 G2 that has 2 PCI-X 133mhz slots. According to the specs it can take a regular PCI 66mhz PCI card. There is no mention though of 33mhz PCI cards which is pretty much still the market right now. Should a 33mhz card work in this system?

The GL145? I cannot find any mention of this HP server anywhere? Are you sure you don't mean the ML145?

Usually, the slots are backward compatible so in theory yes the 33mhz card should work in the slot.

I meant the DL146 not the ML145 lol

Hi James,

33Mhz card should work but it would have to be either dual-voltage keyed, i.e. support both 3.3V or 5V or just 3V.
Those slots won't take 5V cards.
