give users local computer rights

had a server problem couple days ago, it seemed to have caused a problem with only some of my users they seemed to have lost the ability to copy file to the local drive. if i log in as me i can copy files to computer so its a user problem not real good with group policy and i think that is the problem
can anyone help me...THANKS DLS
 
need more specifics there superdave. what happened to the server? Why do you think its GPO related, have you touched any GPOs? did you check the share and or ntfs permissions on the location the users are trying to copy docs to, to make sure they have authority to do so?

WELL , I JUST DECIDED TO CALL A EXPERT TO LOOK AT IT, IT SEEMS THERE WHERE SOME DNS ERRORS KEEPING THE 2 LOCATIONS FROM TALKING, AND A COUPLE OF OTHER THINGS WRONG THAT CAUSED THE USER TO TEMPORLY LOSE THERE RIGHTS
