My users want all the data (plus the look) from their Word docs placed on the web. I originally simply converted them to HTML and placed them on the web server. The users want to be able to edit and create this info on the web. I can see how to build a table to hold the HTML and the data that will construct the doc on the web, but I don't know how to create a "Word" type feature on the site that will allow the users to build these docs as if they were in Word.
I'm not sure if this is feasible or not since I'm pretty new to web development. I was even wondering if there is software already designed to achieve a similar goal.

If what I described doesn't make sense, I'll try to re-phrase what the goal is. Instead of maintaining Word docs that have to be uploaded to the web server, the user wants to have them stored in the web site database, and wants to be able to create/edit them just as if they were in Word (or as close to as possible).

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated =)

don't try.

It's not easy, but i know that there are some programs to do that.

Well, if you want to develop, well, get a nice book of Java, cause you need to do a java applet to solve your problem.

To my costumers, i recommend that they use Dreamweaver, and then just copy the HTML code to the site. They have an excelent HTML editor and an easy way to update HTML information, on-the-fly. Anikin
