I have a domain using windows2K. I installed ver7 on the workstations. Each user is a local power user and a regular user in the domain. The background scanning works fine but when they try and run the update it tells them they have to be an administrator to run it. I checked the McAfee site for faq they said just to change the permissions on the program files\Mcafee folder give the user rights to that folder and try again it should work. It still will not give the user the ability to run updates has anyone else had this problem?

You also need to check:

Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\network associates\common framework and make sure they have full access to that.

I don't have
Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\network associates\common framework

Under all of my users no one has a sub folder under application data\Network associates.

the only place I have a newtwork associates folder is under c:\program files\common files
