I've participated in 3 GIS implementations/migrations in the past 10 years and none of them went well. Other EDI software tools run circles around that product. Plus, before GIS, internal team members could support the application (including admin. functions). Now that we use GIS/SI, the consultants are streaming in here like crazy and our support team is not provided the proper tools in that application to handle daily support.
GIS/SI seems like a money pit to me. What are your experiences and how do you feel about the product? I have talked with our trading partners in the past and will not add another trading partner due to the complexity, poor performance, and lackluster support tools.
I understand that a 'bad' GIS install could have been caused by several factors but based on past experiences and our trading partners comments, it's not the product to use. Thanks for your feedback.
