Gimp Plugins install

Hi I hope some experienced Gimp people can help.. I have been trying to install more plugins for my Gimp 2.0.5 version in windows.. When I do I get a message invalid file format... I am trying to load in from the windows Soundforge.com site it should work... Also I noticed when I loaded Gimp I noticed it said that I would need to load in GhostScript what exactly is that and what exactly would I download.. On the Soundforge site many things have the words Ghostscript... That's why I am confused...
