I have 2 gigabyte 6600GT cards (GV-NX66T128D). These cards are Identical in every way, expet one does not seem to support SLI. It has the SLI connection, but I cannot get SLI enabled. The one without SLI support seems to have an older BIOS. Would updating the BIOS enable SLI? It really meakes no sense why SLI is not enabled.

When SLI was first introduced reviewers often stressed the need for two identical cards even down to their bios version, so yes!
Having said this, I have also heard of many users who are using differant brands in SLI without issue.
You haven't been so lucky it seems and so a bios flash should sort your problem out.
