Hi guys,

I know this may sound like a newbie question but is it possible to fit a gigabit module to a superstack 3300 switch.

I've not been able to find any information on it at all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rob

Yes, there are four slots in the back of the 3300 that take fibre modules (it is not possible to GB over copper with the 3300.)

They are considered repair items because the 3300 is not produced anymore. Try 3com sevice, they can give you P/N and price. You can usually find the modules online too. I cannot look up the numbers now or I'd list them here;)

Here are the 3300 available modules:

3C16973 SuperStack II Switch 1000BASE-LX Module
3C16975 SuperStack II Switch 1000BASE-SX Module
3C16978 SupserStack II Switch 1000BASE-T Module

The 3C numbers are the vendor codes.
