i have a gif with some text. Is there a way to know the properties of the text as in the font and the font size etc. And if there is i also wanted to know whether is it possible to copy this text on to another gif. I'm using adobe photoshop ver 5.5. please help

Not unless you run it through some very intelligent text-recognition software... scanners usually come with basic ones, but I don't think that they can decipher fonts that they haven't seen before... they certainly couldn't name them. They usually just translate what they see into ascii, without any specific font or size.

In short, NO, I don't think so.
