Hello,

Can you give me an example for the command ionci and the RDS-settings in DNA to make this working?

RDS

Connection Type --> NIU connetion
Port ID 800

Filler character --> @64
Information System --> ID 00

Maximum DN Lenght --> 5
Maximum Terminal --> ID 2

MD
IOEQI:IODEV=GICI,EQU= ...,TYPE=NETWORK,USAGE=OUT ;
IONCI:IODEV=GICI,USER=GICI-1,RPORT=800,IP=xxxxx
where xxxxx is DNA server IP

I think that def. port is something like 5601.
Ports undder 4000 is not recommended to use. They are "taken" by other programs and functions

No exist special license for GICI on DNA.
But You must have license for application witch use GICI
For example ECC, ECA, OWS Personal Assistant etc

Hi Guys,

Here are the commands I am using:

IOEQI:EQU=1-0-60-4,USAGE=OUT,TYPE=NETWORK,IODEV=NIU1LAN;

IONCI:IODEV=NIU1LAN,USER=GICI-1,RPORT=800,IP=100.100.100.10;

ICFUI:IFCIND=1,IODEV=NIU1LAN,USER=GICI-1,DFMT=5,UPDFCN=YES,FILLER=64;

ISFUI:IFCIND=1,TEFMT=2,TIFMT=2,DTERM=00;

There really is no default port, as long as you are using a port that is not used by another application, as stated above, and it must of course be the same in RPORT= and in the GICI settings in the RDS Configuration tool.

The Maximum DN length should be the same as your number length and the DFMT value in the ICFUI command.

Also, I would recommend to always use UPDFCN=YES.

/mk

I think license for running a GICI/CSTA over NIU/ethernet is needed. IS-ETH-INTERFACE, FAL104533.

Yes ICFUC
You have right

But it license in MD and not in DNA

lalrl asked about DNA license not MD
