Hi all

I have a couple of word files saved on a floppy disc that seems to have got corrupt/damaged. After trying to recover them with chkdsk and using badcopy to try and recover, all I have now is gibberish. Can anyone help in how I can get the data back???

Thanks a million

Miss Furrypenny

try opening them with a text editor (eg, notepad) - they'll probably be lots of 'rubbish', but usually text will be there somewhere. Just need to copy it out, and reformat it.

thanks for the info wolluf!! - I've already tried that but there still seems to be lots of "missing data" I guess it's just lost forever....
