I'd like to make a ghost image of my Central Server here in case of an emergency. We already run tape backups but I want a quick way to restore the Server in case of disaster.

Does Ghost work on Windows 2000 Server or is thier a different product I need to look into?

Greg

You can ghost the server using GHost, but just after runing first Sysprep (included in Windows 2000 CD). A+, MCP, CCNA

Yes, Ghost 7.5 works with Win2k ghosting. You can use sysprep only if you want multiple deployment of this image. If you want to use the image on the same server as it's disaster recovery, you don't have to use sysprep. You can boot the pc with a boot disk that contain network drivers of the machine and save the ghost image anywhere on the network.

Thanks,
Hassan
