Within my scene, there are all sorts of invisible things, buttons, MCs, etc... there is a faint ghost of all of these items showing up, like the transparency was only set to 5% or something but it is at 0... this is making me quite unhappy. This has never happened with anything I've worked on before, does anybody know what I'm doin wrong here?

Much thanks

make sure that the objects that you are using are only on the stage when they are in use. if their function is done, even for a little while, be sure to delete any frames it's layer may have after it's last keyframe.

this happens all the time. you have an object drop in from frames 1 thru 50. at frame 50, on a separate layer, something else starts to happen. well, on your first layer, you had a keyframe to stop the object at the 50th frame, right? great. if you didn't delete every instance of that object after the 50th frame and merely 0'd the Alpha, it can still show on the stage, albeit faintly.

give that a shot and let me know if it helps. "It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission." - Rear Admiral Dr. Grace Hopper

right, I've done that already just to streamline the thing, but it still happens. masked text MCs are faintly showing up beyond the limits of the mask, and they have to be there, and buttons (invisible (er, or not) fields which accompany images) are doing the same...

muy frustrating

thanks for the suggestion
