Hi,
I recently ghosted the IDE disk of a SCO Unix 5.0.5(residing on a Compaq Deskpro Pentium, 256MB RAM, 16GB IDE) and from that I converted it to a VM on VMware Workstation 5.5.2. However I get a boot issue with the following:
WARNING: hd: no root disk controller was found. Time loadable driver may be required. Drain 8042, PANIC: srmountfun - Error 19 mounting rootdev (1/42) Error 19 opening dumpdev (1/41)
What I can see from the VM I converted from the ghost image the Hard Disk Virtual device node reads SCSI 0:0. Is that right? Should it not be IDE? I cannot change it to IDE within the settings of VMware workstation...maybe this is the cause of the hd error?
Hope you can help...
Thanks
