What version of Norton Ghost do I need if I want to deploy images of XP onto workstations ? I have heard that one version has a prompt for registration information ?

Well the newer the better. :)

If I remember right its either 2001 or 2002 that prompts you for registration info.

But I would recommend you to use 2003 as it will have proper support for Windows XP. Ghost 2002 should also work with windows xp but anything older and you might experience problems.

Just a remark here : be wary of SATA drivers.
If you don't use SATA, fine. But if you do, Ghost is liable of crashing XP. I know it happens to me every time.
I have contacted Norton support, but the answer is that the motherboard drivers and SATA drivers are not really up to it yet.
I fail to understand how my PC can work fine on SATA disks and Ghost hangs XP because of SATA drivers, but there you are - early adopter, early sufferer.

Pascal.
