Hi all

Here is a tricky one.

I have a very old digital server which we need want to upgrade as the hardware is unsupportable. Is it possible to make an image of one server (old Mylex SCSI controller) and restore the image to a new server (DL380 with raid 5)using something like Ghost. By the way its NT4 and I have the dos driver for this SCSI controller.
Any suggestions would be most helpfull.

Regards

David

Maybe, if you make an image of the old server, to a separate disk ( IDE or SCSI ), after that, you configure RAID 5 to the new server and put also the disk ( IDE or SCSI ) with image.
And now you have to try a image software, that is capable to recognize you RAID controller and put the image from disk ( IDE or SCSI ) to RAID 5.
