When reordering a hard drive do I need to get the heads and sectors of the previous hard drive when using the Norton Ghost 2000 software in order for the Ghost to work on the hard drive?
Norton Ghost does not rely on HDD geometry (C/H/S) to make a ghost. Just ghost the entire HDD into an image and place the image on another source, like a server. Once you have the new hard drive in place, boot into a network with a network boot disk and run the ghost to the new HDD.
