Ghost Ringing

I have a IP500v2 that is on 7.0.36. There are a couple of 9504 phones that just start ringing for no reason. They do not display anything on the phone at all it just rings. The phones are on a combo card and are working with analog lines. I have not been able to get a look a SSA when it was actually ringing. Anybody else had this problem?

Do they have line appearances? Do they have voicemail through their service provider? If so, tell the provider to take off message notification.

Yes they do use a line appearance to check voicemail from their service provider. The only reason they use that is because they don't want their customers to get a busy signal if all of their lines are tied up.

Tell their provider to take the message indicator off the line. That is what is causing the ringing.
