This concerns a question I have wth Norton Ghost. I am running Windows XP Pro. I have a C:, D:, and E: partition. I have a "clean" image that I need to download. The clean image also has the C: (OS), D: (Program Files), and E: (Empty) partitions. I want download this image, but I want to keep the Files/Folders that are currently on the E: partition. Of course if I download this image the E: partition will be empty. How do I download this image, but yet keep the Files/Folders on the existing E:?

You have to record an image of a PARTITION, not a drive...
With a DRIVE image you get all of the partitions, like it or not...
If possible, re-create your image, but select "partition", rather than "drive".

I think it's a shame that entire families can be torn apart by something as simple as wild dogs...![surprise]
