Hi all,

I have a problem about GHOST with adaptec SCSI card 29320ALP.
I tried to perform GHOST backup for a hard disk to a DDS4 tape drive which connect to adaptec 29320ALP. GHOST can detect the tape drive as @MT0 but the backup cannot be start. The error message is wait for data time-out.

Please help.

Many Thanks.

LoYeah,

I do not believe that "Ghost" provides for backup to tape. See the following quote from the Symantec site:
Symantec Site said:
Norton Ghost supports saving backup image files to a network hard disk or to a local hard disk (including USB and FireWire drives, Zip, JAZ, SuperDisk, and magnetooptical). It does not support saving backup image files directly to a tape drive. To save backups to tape, save the backup to another drive, then use your existing tape backup strategy to save the backup image to tape.
Do you have a tape backup software application?
