I have a BCM 400 at 1 site and it use to have analog line and the phone Ext numbers sarted with 2221. We installed a T1 and changed all the Phone Ext numbers to starting with 4100. Some times when I use my softphone from the home office to that site, the BCM assignes me an Ext 2471 but when I look at the active Dn list it doesn't show up. Where not using the 2000 group any more but is there some place that the system thnks it is usin them. If I hangup the softphone and logon again, then I get he 4000 group like I'm supposed to.

Ok here'some more info.

Under Callrouting
Destination codes
91A
Wild cards
0 assigned
1 assigned
2 Unavailable
3 assigned

How do I change 2 to assigned

That's why I can't make any LD NPA calls starting with a 2

Is there a place in the BCM where numbers can be reserved for other thinga????

The BCM automatically assigns the VoIP extensions.
If you did a complete system renumber they won't be there.
If not, you can simply do a DN change on just do a DN change on the extension (2471) to a 4000 series number not in use.
Look through all DN's (not just in use)

As far as 2 being unavailable in your Call Routing Section, that is because there is indeed at least 1 station, if not more that is still using 2***. Perhaps 2471..? :)

You can go to the renumber wizard and clear these out of there by changing them to 4000 series numbers.

Again, if you did not do a renumber on the whole system you may be in for a lot of manually changing of DN's in the DN renumbering wizard...

Reserved for what sort of other things? Yes. Hunt groups for one, VoIP stations for another.

I had to make
9A for local
91A for LD except NPA's starting with a 2
912A for any NPA starting with a 2

In DN Renumber there aren't any DN's Starting with 2 or 3 and I can't find any 2's or 3's under all DN's. I can't change what I can't find.

I'm sorry I did not pay close enough attention to your post Ace.
A 2 in programming elsewhere would not effect your 91A since the two is the third digit.
If you are always dialing a 9 to get out then the conflict is not with an extension or other feature using 2.
To Change the 2 to assigned, remove the route for 912A.
Then go back and look at your wild cards and it will be able to be assigned.
Unless you need a special route for 912A than 91A, you should not enter it as separate.

I tried outing 912A and rebuild it but the 2 is still not available. I tried outing all the one's that start with a 9 and put them back in agian. still 2 not available. The only way I can get the system to let me make a call to any NPA that starts with a 2, is to have 912A.

The reason I though the DN starting with 2 migth be the problem is because once in a while when I logon with the softphone, it gets assigned DN 2471 but when I look at active DN's it doesn't show up. I log off and log backin again and now it assignes the correct DN of 4721.

that still wouldn't be it, because there is a 9 in front of it.

the conflict would be with 92 not 2
