I configured a Vigor 2900 Wireless router in the office last week for a managers home use.

I named the router "homelan" and then proceded to configure the encryption and the wireless connections. A couple of machines in the office detected homelan whilst I was configuring.

Anyway didnt think anything of it and took the router to the managers home and set it up.

Today I have been approached by a few people saying they can still see homelan. Its impossible though becasue the router is 10 miles away. They are even getting a reported signal strength of Excellent and a message saying connected. I have attempted a ping from the connected machines and I am getting No results. I have deleted any refernce to homelan and then did another wireless search. It appears again.

Any ideas what the problem is. Its got me a little confused!!
