So i made a set of 5 image files of a harddrive. Now I want to restore to an identical PC. What do I do? I need a boot CD or a boot-3½" and a tool...

Thanks

Jakob

PS. Let's pretend I DON'T have the Ghost 9 boot CD ....

One of the first screens on Ghost backup, is a chance to make "boot" disks. You can make CD or floppy disks. You use these disks to "restore" to the computer. If you are playing with XP, the computer has to be EXACTLY the same. Same hardware and applicable drivers.

Why 5 images?
are they all from the same hdd?
same datas?

u can simply use ur Ghost 9 to open the image and put back the files.
If u are going to 'KILL' your 'C', make sure that your image has the whole entire HDD datas with system files, and u can boot up ur PC with a Bootdisk, run ghost.exe (DOS version) and restore back all datas from the image.

u can get a copy of DOS ghost from ur ghost9 installation.

Hope this help.

Isn't the Ghost 9 install CD also how you boot the machine to restore from?

Couldnt you creat a boot cd, and also put the image of your hardrives onto sevaral cd's, then set up the BIOS to boot from a cd, start up the computer with the boot cd?
