Good afternoon group. I've run into a wall here and can't seem to stop banging my head on it. I'm trying to get an image/dump from a Compaq Proliant 1850R server that is equiped with a Netelligent embedded NIC. It uses the NetFlex 3 driver obtained from the Compaq site. I've created a proven boot disk with it and have imaged several machines that use that particular NIC and one 1850R server all with throughputs in the 40-60mbps range. Now, I've got a few more 1850R's to grab an image from and I'm dealing with a throughput of 3! We're talking 50+ hours for a 17gig dump. It should only take 2 hours or so from previous experience with the proper speed. I've tried changing max rates, half/full duplex, etc... I'm having difficulty determining if this problem resides in the NIC, the boot disk, or even the disk array limiting access speeds. Here's what my protocol.ini file looks like currently:

; Protocol.ini generated by Ghost Multicast Assist Wizard

[PROTMAN]
drivername = PROTMAN$

[PKTDRV]
drivername = PKTDRV$
bindings = PC_CARD
intvec = 0x60
chainvec = 0x66

[PC_CARD]
drivername = NTFLX3$
duplex=AUTO
MediaSpeed=AUTO

[CPQ$NETFLX3]
DriverName=NTFLX3$

[network.setup]
version=0x3110
netcard=CPQ$NETFLX3,1,CPQ$NETFLX3,1
transport=tcpip,TCPIP
lana0=CPQ$NETFLX3,1,tcpip

Has anyone run into this problem or has a successful boot disk that I may be able to see you protocol.ini and driver versions? I'd ask Symantec, but, well, if you've ever been to their support site, you'll understand my frustration.

Thanks in advance!

Scot

I know that you have said that you looked at the Speed( i.e. Half/full 10/100) but did you try hardcoding the swithc ( if you have a managable switch) to the same speed that the server is hardcoded for. Thanks
