I just read about some open source tools for Delphi and C++ builder. The toolbox is called GExperts
Some of you have experience with it? Steven van Els

Using it for a half of a year now. Very flexible and usefull thing. Integrates into IDE and makes your work in Delphi a little bit more pleasant :)
Cheers.

Can someone clearly state for me the rules with the open source. Is it that you can't alter the open source code and redistribute it, or that a user must open his/her code to open source if they use open source componenets?

I don't personally have any issue with opening my source code, but working for a government agency, I'm not even sure if I'm allowed to.

GExperts is a must have in my mind. It lets you set up some of the more common tools in the caption bar on your code window (like project manager or watch window). It comes with a directory cleaner that can remove leftove .dsm files that can take a huge chunk (think of all those downloaded components that you compile a test app to play with). It also allows you to make the component palette a multiline tab which makes large sets of component collections more easy to work with. It comes with a built-in Grep search tool that blows away the built search, and even has a little ascii display for those rare times you need to see just what escape sequence gives you an umlaut...

Uh , yeah, I guess I am a convert. :) Been using it since Delphi 4 (maybe 3 but my memory is a bit foggy about the time <g>).

I downloaded it, and it's great. What I don't understand is how they can give this away for free? I'll donate some cash, but it seems too good to be true.
