getURL or load variable

Okay,here's my situation...
I have created a Flash 5 movie. I want to bring the result of a mysql/perl html file into my movie, in a box or specific area of the Flash page. In other words, I do not want the html file appearing as a new page in the browser or in front of the Flash movie. Can I do this with getURL, such as getURL "

http://www.city.com/officials.html",

where "officials.html" is the file I want to "place into the Flash page; should I use loadvariable or WHAT?

Would sincerely appreciate any assistance.

the only way I know of achieving this is to load it into a frame on your page.
