hi,

I have a small wav file in my movie. i want the file to loop.

The piece is 90 frames long so at 90 i scripted goto(1)and play...but there is a silent pause in between loops which is not good.

i think there is way to program the .wav file to loop. does anyone know how to do this?

Sound "Sync" should be set to "Event" and no need to strech it out on 90 frames. 1 frame is enough! Just set the loop to 999 in the Sound panel(Flash 5) or in the sound properties(MX).
Of course if this is not an edited loop, it won't loop seamlessly. You'll have to edit it in a sound application. Regards,

thanks again oldnewbie. you are a lifesaver.

i have it set up like you said.

but i am not able to give my music an instance name. how can i tell it to stop when a button is pressed in flash 5?

the reason i ask is:

the buttons launch new sites on top of the one that is playing music but because the new sites have their own music, i want the the old music to stop.

hey! its easy. there is a stopallsounds() method. it worked.
:)
