Did you choose "Run as Administrator" ?

I have found the same error on three installs (other language though).
I investigated and gave up, after the mentioned eror it is impossible to remove the install or install a lower version.
The PC is fully screwed up. Thank yoy Avaya.

Not my language. But I have found in the newer released of VMPro the permissions for the required folders gets boned up during install. I fix it by adding "Everyone" to the folder permissions in windows and adding inherited premissions to all sub folders. But I could be wrong in this case.

Experiecend the same problem on two installations.
Upgarde and clean install didn´t work / showed the same error message.
All folders had full rights for the logged in user.
After cleaning the registry (searched for voicemail and vmpro) the installation of voicemail pro 10.1 SP1 was possible.

Yet Another reason to forget windows & use application server

Only install on windows when it is absolutely required for functionality (DB integration or VB Scripting) & not just because the IT dept only use windows, This is telecoms equipment NOT an IT Dept PC & should be treated as an appliance in the same way that the IPO is an appliance!

Although i agree about the application server Avaya should deliver working software which can be installed as any other software package.
If there are things which should be taken care of before installation like security settings, they should document that.
But Avaya did a serious cut on the documentation department (not for Aura of course) so there is a problem.

...or just select English as the installation language. Seriously, it won't be the first time I've seen the install software fail when run in non-English but be fine in English.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

There is a problem with the installer in 10.1 SP2 as well as 11.0 (same error).
A fix is available. However, I think they will not update the downloads on the support site. (Facepalm)

If you have a non-english OS (thex fix is about German, but I doubt this as kkragelund posted the very same error, but with Danish OS)

Ask for:
VoiceMail Pro Critical Patch 11.0.1.1 for IPOFFICE-141468
VoiceMail Pro Critical Patch 10.1.201.1 for IPOFFICE-140086

Thank for your posts
I have the same problem
After clean registery, you can install a good version of voicemial like 10.1.0.241 and all is OK

I have had the same problem with a Dutch OS.
I tried cleaning the registry but it did not work for me.
What did you do?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

absolutely correct, for me the reason to use app sever rather than the windows version has always been because I don't trust Microsoft not to muck things up with an upgrade

Hello !

Met the same problem ! I resolved it by creating a User group named "Users" and the install went flawlessly. My computer was indeed installed in French. Think it's because the "Users" group is translated in each language.

Best regards,
