I need to find out what version(s) of Access id running on our clients computers.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Or how do I code a routine to return the registered application for a file type as this may well let me know what version is being used?

Or is there a registry entry storing version information for Access/Office?

Many Thanks

You'll find the path to the installed version of Access in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common\InstallRoot\OfficeBin. Once you have the path you can check the version of Msaccess.exe.
It is possible to have Access 97 and Access 2000 running on the same computer. So, you may not always know what version a database will be.
