I got a 2000IVS loaned to me to set up some temporary phones for an event crew for the next week. It was shipped to me from the UK from my friend.
It has a PN-CP24B, an 8DLC and a 4COT card in it. No matter how I try to set this system up (C-load or B-load), it always comes up with very weird tones.
For example, dial tone is a broken tone (not a stutter tone though... it's about 2 sec on / 2 sec off), at a higher-than-normal pitch. The ring-back tone is very similar to the dial tone. I tried CM483>00>xx with all possible combinations. I tried CM31 with all possible combinations. I only got as far as getting a continuous tone for dial tone, but it's still higher than normal pitch, and is extremely loud. I can't get decent tones out of the system.
Anybody has any good ideas about it?

Try changing the nation code assignment in Cmd 310 de 0 de enter 03 for North america and then see how you go.

Ok its a IPS not IVS if it is a CP24. You should be able to change with CM 310>0>03 and 483>00>01 or 07. You must reset the CPU after either change.
Some CP24's have DTG tone chips that do not support Nth America at all and if you have one of them you are out of luck.
Revs that support Nth America are SP-3643 and SP-3645.
Revs Sp-3644, SP-3758, and SP-3774 do not.
And according to the manual the 2 versions that supported the UK do not support Nth America (SP-3644 and SP-3758).
