Getting thresholds to trigger events

I have recently configured my threshold limits in CIS and yet when the threshold is breached no event is generated to alert me. I can drill down to the device page of the individual server and see the gas gage has changed yellow or red and exceeded the set limits. Any ideas on how to get Insight to start kicking off alerts based on threshold breaches would be appreciated.

Not been able to do this either though a message is written to the system log on the server.

Have you configured SNMP, and used the address of your workstation or other device?

With the version of CIM I use, the trapped event needs to be told where to be sent.
