Whenever any user tries to login to the VSS database, he gets the message "unable to open user login file \\server\vss\data\loggedin\user.log"
I can't think of what the problem should be..the server is W2K & the client is NT WKS. I had already checked the rights for the user.. All the rights are there..

Help me if possible..

We've had similar problems when we upgraded some machines. (other way round thougn - our VSS database was on NT & the workstations accessing it were moved to 2000).

Lots of things this could be, but make sure that ALL yes thats ALL your 2000 machines have latest service pack.

Have you got TechNET? There are hundreds of issues when running mixed NT/2000 environments !!! (we've probably had most of them)

Where & what are your Domain Controllers ???
