I have a database with a single table used for Outage tracking. In this table I have two datetime fields for event date and time, and two for resolved date and time.

When I go to design a reports on the fields, The Event time and Resolved time fields are being reported as a date type field.

How do I change the date type to a time type? This is driving me nuts.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

OK, I did this and removed the check mark in "Change Date-Time to Date". When I remove the field and then put it back in, It's still populating as a date-type field.

Any ideas?

What check mark?

If you walk through the instructions that ChelseaTech has given you, you should be looking at a window which says:

Convert Date-Time Field to [Date]

the [Date] part being in a drop down window. Change this so that it is set to Date-Time. Hence:

Convert Date-Time Field to [Date-Time]

If this does not amend your problem, go into File/Options, the Field tab, press the DateTime button, and check that the format includes the time.

OK, that's better, I misread Chelsea's reply, and went to File/Options, not File/Report Options. Once I changed it there, I can see both the date and the time.

Thanks for your help guys and gals. :)
