I need help in organising my database and getting most out of the use of subforms. Basically, i am holding various details of banks on a main database, but have introduced a few other forms that go into more detail about hte bank in question. For example, i will bring up a bank, and then add some comments about that bank. I need to create though a subform so i can scroll through those comments, without it scrolling through the whole database of banks?! is this done in the subform, if so - how can i maximise its use so that i can add various forms to get as much detail in as possible?!!

Bit of a long query, but help and assistance would be really appreciated.

Note - using Access 97

Hi Matt,
I'll hope your "Many" comments that relate to "One" bank reside in their own table, related to the bank by a "BankIDNumber". If this is the case, use the form wizard to build a continuous type form or datasheet based solely on the table of comments. If you haven't already done so, build your "main form" based on the "Banks" table. With this form in design view and with the wizard button depressed (little wand & stars), click on subform/subreport on your toolbar. Go onto your form in the area where you'd like it to live and "pull" it to roughly its size. The wizard should ask you questions on how to relate one to another, which I would suspect should be BankID to BankID.
One point to note is that your "main form" cannot be a continuous form. One Bank at a time, but the sub will show you the Many notes.
If your table(s) are not arranged in this fashion, they should be. Try Tools-Analyze-Table off of the main Access menu. In a "wizard" it will sort out your tables for you!
