I am probably asking a question with an obvious answer. How can I find out what extension number a phone is assigned ? It seems I need the extension numbers to rename the phones, and pretty much all other programming.

All our M7310 phones have names programmed. I need to change the names on 2 phones, ( 2 users decided they liked each others better after the offices were renovated, ...one phone is beige, other black, so they swapped ) Now the wrong phone rings when you use the intercom buttons. Should I reprogram or should I set the phone to "relocate", and if so how?

thanks for patience, and helping a newbie... ;-)

Feature *0 and press the intercom key and that will give you the ext. Looks like set relocate was set to yes and that`s why they don`t ring properly. All programming moves with the phone if it`s set to yes. Easiest thing to do would be to move them back, turn set relocate off, and then move the phones. Here`s how you do it in case you don`t know.

Use a 7310 or 7324 set.

Feature **config
Password config

3 programming buttons will light up (4 once you enter a topic) They mean the following

Heading Show
Back Next

If it comes up Terminals and Sets
Hit next until you get to System Programming
Hit show then next until you get to Feature Settings
Hit show then next until you get to Set Relocate and change to no

If it comes up Configuration
Hit show (Trk/Line data will appear) then next until you get to Miscellaneous
Hit show then next until Set Relocate change to no.

thank you very much Schlum...

I had done this once years ago, but couldn't remember the whole procedure, and didn't want to go pressing buttons willy-nilly without some clue as to what I was doing!

thanks again!!
